Treasure, World & U.S. Coin Auction 31 -
NOW CONCLUDED
Live on the Internet, Wednesday-Friday, May 4-6, 2022
Prices realized for numismatic rarities in Sedwick’s May 4-6
Treasure Auction 31 surpassed $4.10 million and virtually all lots
sold. This is the third consecutive time we have broken this level.
This is ultimately a testament both to our consignors who entrust us
to catalog and sell their rarities for top value as well as our
bidders who are seeking to build their collections. We are thankful
for both and are already looking forward to our Treasure Auction 32
on November 3-4, 2022!
Many of the record prices in this auction were from two collections we have had the privilege of handling: The Clyde Hubbard Collection of Mexican Charles-Joanna coinage and the John Adams Collection of Admiral Vernon medals. We will offer subsequent selections from both of these unprecedented collections in our next auction as well.
Also among our top results are two coins from the fabulous Pat Johnson collection: a
Bogotá, Colombia, cob 4 reales, 1622, from the Atocha Research Collection, and a Potosi, Bolivia, cob 4 reales Heart, 1720 Y.
All prices from the auction firm include a 20% buyer’s premium. Full
auction results can be viewed
here.
Consignments are now being accepted through August of 2022 for
Sedwick’s next Treasure Auction to be held in November at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Winter Park Hotel.
